Performance "Ghosts" by Natascha Moschini

In Ghosts, Natascha Moschini explores her relationship to a transgenerational heritage and examines how the past is inscribed in our bodies and our attitude toward life. But how do you gain access to something that has never been passed on? How can you enter the realm of ancestors whose doors and windows are firmly locked? A hand tracing the air, a gesture of hair care, the soft hiss of a steam cleaner—Moschini traces embodied memories in minimal movements. Each action draws fine threads between personal and collective history and becomes a ritual of mourning. Smooth surfaces begin to crumble, revealing a fleeting glimpse of what lurks beneath them – of what haunts us and won't let go.
